A very popular song in the 1990s stated that in order to love others, you must first learn to love yourself first. This piece of advice is easier said than done. Everyday we are surrounded by magazines, commercials and shows that define beauty for us. It's not easy for plus sized women to feel good about themselves when they're surrounded by images of wraith thin models. Most times, shopping for suitable plus size lingerie becomes a tall order.
"It's hard to feel sexy when nothing ever fits" shares Adrianne, a friend of mine who works as an animal trainer. Like many plus sized women, Adrianne often has to settle for Ill-fitting bras. Moreover, most women who can't find the right bra for their body type lose confidence in themselves. Confidence is always important for success. Women who find even shopping for plus sized intimate apparel daunting often experience obstacles when dealing with self-image issues.
That's why I've made it my mission to find the best plus size lingerie on the market. I would like plus size women like me to feel sexy, beautiful and confident in their own skin. I looked up on lots of plus size underwear sites on the internet and came up with three simple rules for the big, beautiful lady (BBL).
BBL#1: Have yourself measured accurately in a professional way. The first step to having the perfect set of lingerie is knowing you cup and band size. You don't have to pay to be able to know your exact measurements. Sites like laurensilva.com have simple how-to's to be able to measure yourself in the comfort of your home.
BBL#2: Determine what you want before going shopping. If you tend to be impulsive, try making a list of lingerie non-negotiables (style, comfort and function wise).
BBL#3: Look up popular lingerie for plus size women but don't let that stop you from exploring other brands. Le Mystere's Dream Tisha Bra is all the rave right now and it wouldn't hurt to try it out. Again, I found sites helpful since it carries lots of brands for plus size lingerie. Moreover, the site is especially for the plus size women. You don't easily find a site that offers plus size bras, shapewear, mastectomy bras and all other kinds of plus size intimate apparel available with just one click of the mouse. Everything is literally at the tip of your finger.
I hope this helps all the big beautiful women out there. There are many options available. We don't have to live the rest of our lives donning a frumpy, ill-fitting bra. There's a plus size bra for every one of us beautiful ladies!
